School Vax Exemptions in Ma? Norwell, Scituate, Lexington, Winchester

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone had experience with school vax exemptions in any of these areas, and which schools.

I looked on a school website in Winchester, and it seemed pretty adamant about the children having to have all their shots or admittance would be denied.

Now I am pretty sure that is not the case but since I am researching the schools in these areas I just wanted to see if anyone had experience in these places.

Thanks.

Are you considering a religious exemption? I would expect that all the schools have to follow the state law, so individual public schools must accept a religious or medical exemption- some private schools may be able to decline exemptions.

MA Public schools are obligated to accept religious exemptions and cannot legally obligate you to further justify yourself and explain your religious reasons. You only have to express a sincerely held religious belief. There are many threads here and on the vaccination board about wording and exact laws. Worst case is that they might be unfriendly about it, but if it ever got to any sort of legal level, you are good to go.
