My used kissaluv 0's are too stiff

How can I soften them up a bit? As I plan to use them for my newborn I would like them to be a little softer. I think I have heard vinegar helps, is Apple Cider Vinegar okay?

I have heard that you can use ecover fabric softener on diapers without affecting their absorbency, so maybe look into that?

I use vinegar for regular laundry, I think ACV is fine though I use white cause it's cheaper and I buy a big jug. Also, I'd dry them in the dryer in case you haven't yet as line drying can make cloth a bit more crunchy.

Liquid calgon water softener should help. It's in the laundry isle. It works better than vinegar if you find that doesn't help enough.

Using dryer balls, clean tennis balls, or tossing a large and heavy dry towel in with them while they're in the dryer might be enough to do it. Other than that, I think you're better off trying calgon and/or vinegar.

I should probably try some of these suggestions for the next kiddo but really, I found that my kissaluvs were never that soft after the first couple uses..

Diapers harden up if they have extra detergent in them. I would suggest rinsing them in hot water (even add a bit of boiling water into the machine) minus detergent and see if you have suds. rinse and dry in the dryer, that should help if there was deteregent residue. Try stipping them if this doesnt help much, its a good idea to do that with hand me downs anyways cause you dont know how they have been cared for.

Fabric softener will definitely coat the fabric (that's why clothes feel soft) which will hamper absorbency. Its use is a big NO NO for most diapers.

i have used KL0's on 3 kids and they have remained soft and sturdy. no reason your shouldnt either!
