He's 10 months old now, but here's my DS at 4 months! Talk about chubby! We lost sight of his neck from about 3-6 months.

Aww! I have loved looking at all the pics!
My DD2 isn't too chubby, but DD1 was a chunk at this age. I have a polaroid of DH holding her at that age (sorry, can't scan and post it)- her legs were about as big around as her papa's arms, and he does not have small arms!

As for the girl babies, I have a smallish girl baby too...at least compared to the girls in my due date club (feb). So it was good to see some little girlies here. She was in the 50th percentile and weighed 12.13 oz at her 4 month appointment / 17 weeks (she was 8.12 at birth). Her legs are chunky yummilicious...

My mom is always telling me what a chubber DD is. I totally don't agree. At 4 months she was 14lbs 5oz and 24.5 inches. She still fits into 3-6 month clothes, which DS did not at this point, and even he wasn't that chunky.

I think it's just one of those things people say.

Mine's a petite chunk - she was born small, only 6 pounds 2 ounces, and is now around 13 pounds at 3 months. She's chunking out nicely, lots of delicious rolls on the arms and legs, and a fat little belly!!

I have friends with babies aged 3 months, 7 months, and 12 months, all at 17 or 18 pounds. It's crazy how different in size they can be!!

Original poster- your baby doesn't look chunky to me- he looks just like a healthy 4 mo baby. (and he is adorable too! )

I guess I've just been worried if I've been overfeeding him but I heard that it's really hard to overfeed an EBF baby.

Hamish is large for his age.... you would be too if you were born at over 12lbs! lmao...

But I have to say I do not think he is chunky. He is just really long - at over 2 and a half feet when he was only 6 weeks old! Ah!!! lol

He has only just turned 3 months old.

My DS is 8 mo, but these are from when he was 4 mo. He's been around the 98th percentile since he was a week old, very chubby

My baby is 16 months old now, but this gave me an excuse to go back and look over his baby pictures

Here he is at about 11 weeks old

And this is just shy of 4 months old

He was 18 lbs and 24 inches at 4 months and in 6-9 month clothes at that point, so yeah, definitely on the chunky side! But now, at 16 months he's 23 lbs and 35 inches (very tall, but pretty skinny) He's been about 23 lbs since about 10 months, when he started getting really mobile

My little guy (ha) is just shy of 4 mos - 23 lbs at last weigh-in! I'm sure he's more now. He's wearing 18 mo onesies. Everywhere we go people say he looks like a 9-mo-old. More pudge to squeeze!
