What is everyone's favorite source of protein and/or vitamins?? I am not a fan of multi-vitamins for myself.

Trader Joes chocolate hemp protein powder made in a shake with bananas and nut butter. Oh my word that sure is good.

Tempeh made into "Bacon".

Chickpeas made into falafel, hummus, or "tuna" salad.

I take prenatales for when I'm pregnant nursing and just in case since we don't use bc.

I use chocolate Shakeology from Beachbody to get my protein AND vitamins. Love it, esp with bananas. It's got tons of natural ingredients and antioxidents.

I also love vanilla almonds. It tends to satisfy my sweettooth, which is awful!

Protein = Any kind of bean or legume, tempeh, and quinoa.

Vitamins = Wholefoods brand multi-vitamin or just a plain old whole food diet with a variety of food items.

Yeah - just like meateaters should eat a variety, so should we.

I eat all different types of beans, nuts, seeds, and various low-process soy products (like tofu and tempeh). I also eat whole grain bread and pasta.

Beans, tofu, and nuts.

I eat beans daily (on salads, in stews, soups and pasta sauces, hummus, etc), raw nuts (cashews, almonds and walnuts are favorites) and tofu.

I eat a variety of veggies and fruit, and lots of fresh, whole foods.

I also like to log my food on fitday.com once in a while so I can see how I'm doing nutrient wise.

Most days I eat egg-fried tofu with greens and whole grain toast for breakfast. Lunch is usually a big salad with beans and nuts, though PBJ on whole wheat is my quick go to for either meal.

Dinners are the most widely varied meal of the day around here, but they usually contain some sort of bean dish. I shoot for 2-3 servings of nut and legume-type proteins a day.

We don't use any sort of supplement proteins, though I sometimes throw hempseeds and nuts into my dd's smoothies to increase her intake.

We do take a B-12 supplement and a daily multi-vitamin. My husband has an iatrogenic endocrine imbalance, and also takes calcium citrate and a D-3 supplement to stay healthy.

Black beans, tofu, and cottage cheese with nuts on top are my favorites.

Almonds.

Especially when they are coated in dark chocolate

I also love anything with black beans.

Nuts...ideally toasted!

Beans, beans, beans... just about any kind (chickpeas, black, pinto, red kidney, etc). Almonds and walnuts are pretty nice too

I love tofu and tempeh but they hate me so I don't get to have any more than a nibble here and there

Sprouts, sprouts, sprouts! They are nutrient dense! Lots of amino acids - the building blocks of protein.

And, also legumes (beans), nuts, and seeds (hemp seed).

Whole nuts, nut butters, legumes, whole veggies and whole grains (especially brown rice and quinoa).
