Help me plan a 1st bday party?

Thread Starter
So my little guy turns 10 mos today. 1st bday is around the corner. I'd like to keep it low key and not a ton of work. Planning to have it here maybe Open House style, so that people can come and go all afternoon instead of 1 big crowd.

Dilemma: i'm on my own for making the food. Most of it needs to be baby friendly, since he'll freak if you don't share. I'd like it to be relatively healthy, but it needs to be substantial enough to get DH and I through the day. Limited grains definitely preferred. Fruits and veggies of all kinds will still be available, this is CA after all.

So, hit me with your best easy/make ahead healthy party food recipes.

I think for dd1, we made black bean patties with some kind of flavored yogurt sauce.

Some kind of twice-baked potato might work out well too, or a bean salad (black bean/mango/salsa-like or white beans/tomato/herbs/etc).

Potato pancakes - or done up with zucchini and yellow squash would be good.
If he eats eggs already - mini frittata muffins (or a large quiche or similar).
This carrot avocado salad loooks awesome.
