I had an appointment with my doctor to check up on my 5 cm left ovarian cyst that was discovered incidentally, 2 1/2 weeks after I miscarried (2 months ago). The cyst was ruled to be completely benign and was reviewed by both the radiologist and the emergency room doctor. However, it is still there. I have no symptoms and my period has returned to normal. The doctor, who I absolutely trust, has no concerns at all of malignancy and neither do the other docs. She did say 5 cm is borderline for being likely to go away on its own. She just doesn't know.
The complicating issue here is that she does advise against TTC until this resolves. I have another appointment scheduled for September 27 and she is booking an ultrasound. However, she says the u/s might not get done until December! Time is ticking, as I will be 43 in January.
Anyone have any luck getting rid of these things through naturopathic/dietary means? Should I be pushing for an earlier u/s? FTR, I doubt it will take that long. I've never had to wait that long for tests or procedures before. I'm in Canada.
