dtd after midnight and charting

It seems like a silly question but I gotta ask. I am debating how to chart a particular instance. My situation is we dtd on what I would consider a Thursday night after midnight but technically it was Friday. Normally I would just chart it as Thursday and not think about it again but in this particular instance Friday was my ovulation day. So with charting and ttc would you list it on Thursday or Friday? Or does it even matter??

I would mark it as Thursday PM, but maybe make a note about the time if you want to review your timing later.

Though, honestly, I don't think it matters, as the sperm don't care what your chart looks like.

For me, if I had not gone to bed and gotten any substantial sleep yet I would say Thursday PM. If it was a middle of the night deal after having slept for a while I would say Friday AM. I agree with the PP though, make a note of the time just in case you want to know later.

personally, i generally say if it's dark out, it's pm, if it's not, it's am, unless it's afternoon, then i actually mark an x.

now, ff says, if it's after midnight, it is more relevant to your chart to indicate it as am. some REs actually say anything after 5 pm is considered am the next day (same for af, but that's another issue!)

ff also says, though, it really doesnt matter, as pp said, your chart is just a tool for you to use to help understand your cycles, and as long as you know what your notations mean, either way is fine.
