Hi. I am 17dpo today and saw a beautiful :bfp tonight. I am 35 and pregnant with #1. EDD according to ovulation is April 9. DH and I have a consultation with a midwife tomorrow. We actually interviewed a couple a few years back when we thought we'd be ttc soon.

I have a full time job outside the home, I also am a certified yoga teacher and DH and I also own our own small business that is just very part time for now. I'll be taking a prenatal yoga teacher training workshop this weekend.

Hi ladies, I'm Claire. I just got my bfp last night! It was very faint, and a digital test confirmed it again this morning. I'm 11 dpo, so I haven't even missed AF yet. This was our 5th cycle of trying. EDD would be around April 21st. We have one son who is about to turn 2 later this month.

Hi,

I got my positive this morning after TTC for 1 year. This will be #2 for us We are so excited. My EDD is 4/17/11, and I am both excited and still in shock.

I will have more to day once the shock wears off, but for now and cautious to some degree.

Happy to be joining!

I'm a Catholic homeschooling mother of seven going on eight kiddies ranging in age from 13.5 to 11 months. We were charting to avoid, until we decided to throw caution to the wind and really put it in God's hands this month. I'm very happy He said "Yes"! Aside from perpetually gestating and changing diapers, I am a birth doula, childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator, and a student midwife.

We really knew right away this was going to be, and it's really going to be a healing experience for me because I'm due on Holy Thursday 2011. On Holy Thursday 2010 I had to suddenly wean my baby boy due to going on a particular medication. That devastating loss followed by this precious gift just has God's fingerprints all over it.

I suppose that's about it. When it's your eighth you don't get quite the congratulations and excitement you got for your first couple of babies... but I'm not sure DH and I have ever been so excited about having another baby. I mean, we've been excited of course, but I don't know...we're really ecstatic this time.

Best wishes to you and all your blessings.

Just got my BFP at 4am this morning. Do not POAS in the middle of the night because when its a BFP you won't be able to go back to sleep! lol.

This will be #3. I have a 4yo DS and an 18mo DD. I have PCOS and we were charting but my O day suddenly went from day 30 to day 18 so here I am! We were talking about a 2011 baby anyway but I have 10lbs from DD I really needed to lose first. I just lost 10 the last couple weeks so I'm not changing my diet until I start feel sick (just watching carbs and no sweets). AND we're taking our 1st kidless vacation in October. Haven't been on a real vacay in 6 years! Cruising to Bermuda. Hopefully at 15 weeks I won't be awfully seasick.

Based on ovulation I'm due April 20th.

Hi, I'm due sometime mid April. I still haven't been to my dr/mw yet because I'm waiting on my beta and referral from the navy base. According to ovulation I'm due tax day 2011. DH and I let things happen for two cycles and then we realized with our move next year we needed to get pregnant soon or I we would end up moving while I am pregnant. On our first "trying" cycle we got a bfp. DD is only 14 months so she has no clue.

Hello all! We found out yesterday that we're expecting #4. We are totally shocked and surprised. This is a souvenir from our 10th anniversary trip two weeks ago! We had a hard time getting pregnant with #3 and I have PCOS so we seriously didn't think we'd ever get pg again. We're very excited though. Looks like my EDD is 4/16.

Hi ladies! I'm Liora and I'm new to the boards.

My daughter is 18 mo and a miracle IVF baby after 9 years of infertility treatments. In July we did a frozen embryo transfer with 2 beautiful embryos from the same cycle as our daughter and we got a BFP! I'm only 4 weeks so I don't even know if we have 1 or 2 going yet. I'm due 4/19/2011.

A friend recommended these boards to me. I am still breastfeeding (despite the doctors wanting me to stop for the FET), I don't vaccinate, we cosleep, etc. SO I'm happy to be here!

Hello Mamas - my name is Sarah and I am pregnant with #2. I just got my BFP today. We've been trying to get pregnant so this is such a thrill. I gave birth at home to my son and plan to do so again with this kiddo. I'm really excited to be here and to get to know you ladies.

Hi I'm Leigh - I am also 35 pregnant w/my first! I'm still trying to learn the acronyms around here...is there a glossary?

We got a BFP on Tues (8/10). AF is due this Sunday/Monday so I'm thrilled but still nervous, fears of chemical pregnancy and all that.

We just started trying so we are really lucky here! I'm still processing the news!

My DH and I are both finishing our PhDs this month and moving to new teaching jobs in 10 days. It is a crazy hectic time but perfect timing too!

hi mamas!

i'm kathleen, and my partner and i are expecting our fourth child on 4/7/11. we have an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old and an almost 4-year-old, and have been ttc off and on for three years. we haven't told anyone besides two of my sisters but i'm having a hard time hiding my fatigue from my kiddos, so i'm hoping these early weeks pass rather quickly so i can spill the beans and not have so much concern! feel good, mamas!

We have been trying for just 1 cycle and thought i'd better test yesterday since it was Friday the 13th.... and it must be a lucky day for me... cause i got 2 pink lines( and i took an extra test just to be sure)!!!

This will be our 4th( 3rd pregnancy). I am hoping to have a vba2c ( and even maybe a hba2c).
I'm just so excited

It's nice to meet everyone!

I'm Stephanie (25), and this will be my second child. DS is 18 months old; he cosleeps and still nurses pretty frequently some days. DP and I have been trying since December of 2009. This is the one cycle that I didn't think I was pregnant, so of course I am! I'm so happy to be here! We're planning a home birth this time, and I'm meeting my midwives for the first time Tuesday. EDD according to ovulation date is 4/21. A spring baby will be so perfect.

Hi! I'm Holly, I also answer to nerdymom. I have one DS already, Jack, who is 21 months. We are thrilled to be pg again, and I am extra-thrilled not to be pg during the summer. When I was expecting DS I planned a home water birth. At almost 43 weeks I was in labor for 42 hours, 24 hours after my water broke we transferred to a hospital and though we tried pitocin I simply was not dilating at all. I ended up with a c/s which was the last thing I expected and it has taken me a long time to recover from it. I expect as things progress I will have more anxiety and fear as I plan a VBAC with a CNM in a hospital. I hope that MDC will be as much of a wonderful support during this pregnancy as it was in my first.

Hi Ladies!

I just got my BFP yesterday which was a total shock. I only tested b/c I was feeling so nauseous. I guess my last period was implantation spotting and not a period since I'm guessing I'm around 6-7 weeks pregnant right now.

We had been trying since last September for our 2nd child. I had the Mirena out and then my cycles were incredibly funky and then I had a m/c back in March before even knowing I was pregnant. I bled for 3 weeks straight and then continued to have messed up cycles with super short luteal phases - 7-8 days.

I've done acupuncture since my m/c and am currently following a primal diet. I actually did the Standard Process 21 day cleanse right before I got pregnant and I think that definitely helped get my body back on track hormone wise.

In the meantime, I've had awful all day sickness for the past few days and am really worried about what the next few weeks have in store for me. I just got a beta level drawn today and will have another one drawn on Monday to make sure that everything is a-ok with this pregnancy. I'm a bit worried considering what happened back in March so we're not telling anyone yet (except my sister who convinced me to test and a really good friend who has been on a similar ttc journey).

First appointment is September 13th and I'll have a dating ultrasound then. I just feel so crappy right now that I want to fast forward a few weeks to get through this.

It's time for me to join too! I'm Krista, married to Leif, and our son Kai just turned 3 in July. We decided to start trying (which for us means, no stressing, no obsessing) for number 2 in June, and apparently hit it on the second cycle. Yay! We weren't charting or anything, so I feel pretty lucky.

I got my BFP today, which is a shock. I mean, I knew I was preggo, since I spotted on the day I was due for AF, and it was like, wake with fresh blood, then an hour later - nothing. And still nothing, since Monday, when AF was due. Plus sore boobs, nausea, excessive hunger and thirst. All tip-offs, as you ladies know!

The BFP was a shock b/c I have kind of this weird thing where I don't test positive on home tests, b/c low hormone levels or something. I've been pregnant twice in my life and never passed a piss test, even when pregnant like 6 or 8 weeks. I even pretty much flunked a blood test with my son. Read my crazy story here if you are interested.

Anyhow, I wasn't expecting confirmation (test wise) until I missed AF #2, so it's exciting to know this early! I'm due around April 23-26ish. My birthday is April 12, so that's pretty cool. I'll have just turned 29.

I still have to make an appointment with the Dr. in town who is the only option for VBAC without driving to Anchorage (I live in small town Alaska). We would prefer birth center and midwife type situations, but you can't argue with reality, so it's to the hospital I go. Anyway, he seems curt but really supportive of the mother's input and desires. So I'm happy for what I get. I really want a VBAC, but at the very least I know I'll get a TOL, you know, like another chance to do it the normal way. I hope I can!

Best of luck to everyone. I'll be pretty darn happy once I make it to the last week of September when I can tell people!

I remember your story, MovnMama! Craziness--it must be so satisfying to get a BFP after all. And now we're in the same DDC!
