Acupuncture and Hypnobabies?

Has anyone mixed these two techniques? I know you shouldn't mix pain relief strategies w/ Hypnobabies, but acupuncture for relaxation??? Any thoughts? One of the midwives for my homebirth is an acupuncturist and I have used it with some success earlier in my pregnancy when I had Hyperemesis and general sadness.

I am doing both of these (Hypnobirthing instead of hypnobabies) but I never thought of them 'mixing'. I think anything you do for relaxation can help with your birth. And acupuncture can help for everything else, too!

I don't see why it would be a problem. There is nothing in the HypnoBabies program that says there are no discomforts in pregnancy. They recommend Spinning Babies for positioning and chiropractic care isn't discouraged. Sounds like a good complementary care as long as the acupuncturist isn't undermining your belief in comfortable birthing.

Thanks! True, it's not mixing, it's complimenting.
