Vermont mid-season planting

Hi everyone,
I am a beginner gardener and I have a huge community garden plot that I am very overwhelmed with! We have tons of herbs, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes and cucumbers growing right now. Also kale and onions, and tons of melons. We still have lettuce but since it has been so hot it is reaching the end. I am wondering what I can plant now in the empty spaces that I never planted or to take the space of the crops that never grew well (spinach and snap peas ) Oh we have carrots too.
Any suggestions? If it is possible I really want to start new things now, if only to give away to friends and family and the food shelf because I feel bad having empty space in a community plot that people are on a waiting list for!
Thanks so much!

Well, you can start planting your fall crops, like broccoli, kale, beets, etc. and more lettuce and spinach. You could also plant some mums now too for some fall color, you can find some edible varieties as well. There is so much you can plant right now. Have fun with it. Maybe add some compost to areas you have just pulled crops out of to replenish the soil a bit.
