3 yo leaking urine

Dd1 is just about 3.5 and has been daytime potty trained since 22 months. But over the past 3 or 4 weeks there have been times when she will tell me she needs to pee but when I take her, her underwears is already a little wet and she wont/doesn't pee.

Normal or need to get it checked?

Some background that make me overthink toilet things with her:

She had frequent yeast infections from 14 months until 2.5 years old. Ped kept telling me it was normal as long as they were in any diapers (cuz at 22 months she was only in a diaper for night). Even after I asked if we needed to probe further I kept hearing that it was normal and just use some topical monistat. She is still in a night diaper ftr.

This year she began refusing to go to the bathroom when she needs to. Like she is doing a pee dance and I ask her if she needs to pee and she says no. If I insist on taking her she fights me and won't pee in the toilet. Only to freak out announce an emerency "I have to pee!" or wet herself 10 minutes later. I originally attributed it to starting preschool where they have to go as a group at certain times. My friend's kid was doing the same. But it has continued (although not as frequently).
The other day we were having a picnic at the beach. i set everything up, asked her if she needed to pee before eating (she was doing a pee wiggle). She said no, I said again, are you sure because then we are going to eat dinner and I can't get up to take you (was alone with both kids). She said no. 5 minutesd into meal she has to pee.

Sorry this ended up being so long and tia for any advice.

my ds did the same at that age. i did mention it to his doctor and he did check his urine for infection, but nothing was found. in the end i chalked it up to stress ( we had just got a new dog before this started happening). i will say it went on for months and months, but he no longer leaks ( or very rarely). he still does urinate often when he is strssed or excited. so, maybe it could be stress about starting preschool?

ETA - i also think saying they don't have to pee when they really do and doing the pee-pee dance is normal for kdis that age

It sounds pretty normal. Kids get to the point where they don't want to be inconvenienced by going to the bathroom as frequently, and as urgently, as they need to.
