I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread! So much awesome info/pics!

Thanks, rere, for the tip. That's really good to know! Maybe I'll just make my own system. We have cable and pretty caps and stuff.

I've always used fishing line tied around little nails and wooden clothespins (the kind with the spring) and let the kids decorate them, glue shells on, etc. then we hang artwork and whatnot on them :-)

We are lucky enough to have a whole room to devote to homeschool I am just a bit disappointed that it doesn't have much wall space... so no hanging maps, charts or bulletin boards. I have a blackboard/whiteboard easel and a HUGE built in cabinet for crafting stuff, which is cool... but we're still struggling with book and materials organization.

I hope more people post photos... I'm excited to see them!!
sort of off topic, but i am so jealous of your colonial! my aunt and uncle lived in one in mass, and i remember going there for christmas a few times. most of it was original, and i remember that the doorknobs were placed super low. her property had ruins of old houses on it, too so it was fun to explore. ok, my trip down memory lane is over with- lol!

We did the magnetic wall thing too! I used magnetic paint, and used a few heavy layers.

I just got the Ikea wire and clippies. At the store, the clips didn't seem to scrunch the sample art too bad, I think we can get away with them. We also have colorful mini clothespins I got at Michaels.
