Vinegar and PUL?

I tried adding some vinegar to my prerinse today (about half a cup) to see if it would help.. it really seems to and my diapers smell nice and clean. But will it hurt my PUL? We use a few pockets, and wet bags and pail liners, plus a few random covers... Everything else is PFs/fitteds and fleece. If it only might hurt them then I don't mind, I would rather my diapers be nice and clean and usable and possibly have to replace things a bit more often! I have been having to use bleach about once a month so how does it compare to that?

Vinegar may break down your PUL a little faster than just normal wear, but I've used it semi-frequently for the past ~4 years without incident. Bleach, on the other hand, is much harsher on fabrics... monthly use makes me think that maybe your washing routine could use some fine-tuning if you're turning to bleach so frequently.

We have crazy hard water and bleach once a month is the only thing that keeps m synthetics from getting icked I don't mind if vinegar breaks stuff down a little faster... just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to have me replacing PUL stuff like every couple months!

I use vinegar with every washing, sometimes in the first rinse, but for sure in the wash cycle/rinse because it helps get the detergent out. No extra wear and tear here so far. It's been 2 years.
