[Break The Cycle]

I just signed up yesterday. And...I think I need some help. I am 19 and I have two kids. One is a 2 year old handsome boy, and the other is a 2 week old baby girl. I really want to recycle, have a natural home, learn to be super gentle and patient, ect.
I do use cloth diapers. But, other then that I'm floundering with the recycling and reducing waste. I live in public housing and we're pretty low on cash... My apartment complex offers no recycling and the only units I've ever seen are across town and we have no car or bicycles. And I have no clue on how to reprimand my son, I end up getting irritated and yelling. Which I feel horrid about afterwords.
So any advice on anything really would be a blessing.

Welcome to MDC! It's a great place to learn and build community. I don't really have any ideas about how to help you recycle - maybe you could focus more on ways to reduce the amount of paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. you are using instead of recycling it all? There is a "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" sub-forum in The Mindful Home that you could check out. As for your 2 year old...first of all here is a big . I have an almost 2 year old so I know how challenging it can be sometimes. There is a Gentle Discipline forum that should be able to help you out in that department. There are also lots of articles on the main mothering.com page under Parenting: Discipline. I hope this helps! Congratulations on your 2 week old baby girl!
