About how long does it take the cord to stop pulsating?

Just wondering what the average length of time it is before the cord completely stops pulsating and closes up (to the point where it can be cut without any clamping, no problem). Anyone know? Or at least remember from their birth?

they stop pulsing anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. as for being drained enough to not clamp at all it needs to be completely limp and white, that timing would be variable but likely upwards of an hour.
