Deodorizing a milk spill

Thread Starter
My dh was bringing our milk home from the dairy farm last week, and the 1/2 gallon jar broke. The milk spilled all over the floor of our van. Then my dh let it sit for two days in 95 degree heat. (He did towel it up, and sprayed it with Resolve.) Needless to say, it stinks. Bad.

We're leaving for a 12 hour drive next week. Help!

So far we've shampooed the carpet, sprinkled the area with Baking Soda, and sprayed Febreeze. What should we do next?

Bac Out is an enzyme based cleaner and is good for protein based spills.

Soak it down with an enzyme cleaner, let it sit, then carpet shampoo again.
