We'd like your input on the way mothering.com (not MDC) pages appear in your mobile device. Please have a look at the homepage and a few internal pages and let us know if you have any problems viewing content. Please also let us know what device you are using. Thanks so much!

I only had a chance to check it out on my ipad so far, will check on my phone in a bit. Looks the same as here. I do kinda wish that the support MDC button could be moved because it results in moving all the forums over to the right with a big empty spot on left below the support mdc box all the way to the bottom of the page.

Thanks Arduinna.

I use an Ipod touch and for the most part, things are ok. I do find the pop up ad every time I click a link very annoying though because it launches another browser window. I'm not sure if that how many popups are supposed to happen, because on my pc it happens maybe once a day.

Thanks Caittune. So no problems with the display or layout of pages?

ok I checked on my iphone, looks good to me. But I'm ad free so I have no idea how it works for others.

Just so we are clear, I'm asking you to look at mothering.com pages, not MDC pages.

Arduinna, do you have empty areas where ads otherwise show on the right column?

oh sorry, I thought you were asking about MDC. I'll check the main mothering page

ok I check on my iphone, it looks good and everything is even and across the page

Thanks! I've reworded my post so it's more clear too.

I checked it out on my iphone. I thought it looked good. My only two complaints were the main page was very slow to load and on the main page the two main columns didn't seem delineated enough. That last one is just me being nitpicky though.

Thanks illumini. When you load the MDC mobile skin is the homepage also slow?

Iphone 3gs here ... it loaded OK but the print is TINY. Like microscopic. IF you can move the front page ads to a different location it would help lots.

Ok I tested it out on both my iPhone 4 and dh's iPhone 3gs on Wifi and 3g. The pages are loading much faster now. I did notice that on the iPhone 4, because of the high resolution screen, some of the text (Heading that says pregnancy & birth, breastfeeding..etc for example) looks very pixel-y.

As well as the section at the very bottom about subscribing to Mothering is not sized properly. The "only" is cut off and off set funny. The portion of links above the search bar is also too low set. The search bar is cutting off a portion of the letters in "News, Experts.." Oh and one more thing I noticed: When on one of the "subset" pages (breastfeeding for example) the "shop mothering" button is covering up the link that says "get started". This also happens on the other pages as well.

Hope that helps you all! I Mothering and MDC and love to help!

I think the mobile site is very busy. The print is tiny on my iPhone 3GS. The thing I find most frustrating is that I can't find a link to let me revert to te classic site. Am I overlooking it or is there no option for mobile users? If not, please add a link for us to use the full site. I prefer it!

Thanks for all the feedback. Our developer is working to make improvements on the mobile theme.

Geigerin, are you referring to the mothering.com pages or MDC pages? For the Mothering.com site smart phones do not use the mobile theme because they are designed to handle full HTML. We are looking at the pros and cons of enabling the mobile theme for smart phones. But for now smart phones are using the regular theme for desktop computers and laptops.

Is the mobile site supposed to look just like the regular site?

Mobile Site-Is it supposed to look like this?

I used to get the normal Mothering.com home page, but now I get this...
