Unbelievable Constipation... Pregnancy Sign?

I will try to keep the tmi factor to a minimum here...This cycle has been odd. My temps were all messed up (my son woke me early the days I think I would have gotten my crosshairs and those were thrown out and it says I'm 4 dpo... and I'm sure I'm around 7 dpo.) Anyway, I've been unbelievably constipated a week or so now. I've NEVER been this constipated in my life.

I've found spinach helps me move things along, but wouldn't it figure that the store was wold out of it?! (go figure) So I've been backed up for about a week now struggling like mad to get the tinest bits out. I had a can of spinach here ate that voided and lost 2 pounds, lol. So, I bought corn at the store as that usually helps. Generally it moves things along within hours. Not this time. I can't get it out for the life of me. It's been over 24 hours since having a big bowl of corn and I'm struggling with voiding even softer stools.

I drink almost solely water no coffee nothing that leeches water out of system. I've been active doing yoga and DDR and nothing and I mean nothing is helping. Diet has remained the same foods, so it's not diet. This led me to wonder if this was a pregnancy sign? Is it possible? I just can't possibly figure WHY this would be happening if not pregnancy related.

IF it was pregnancy related would there be harm to the baby by straining so much? I almost thought I read that years back, but I can't seem to find anything online on it now. Or would it stop implantation if I wasn't pregnant but possibly in progress of becoming pregnant?

For those that might be interested, my chart is here. The open dots were days I woke about 2 hours earlier than usual or hadn't slept well (the later date was the not sleeping well the earlier ones were getting up earlier.)

I would stop the corn and try maybe some bran or tons of fruit. I don't think it's pregnancy related this early, or would have any effect on a possible pregnancy this cycle.
Are you taking vitamins? Sometimes those can impede the process down there...

I've tried to up fiber and eating food that usually move bowels faster. Everything is a struggle. Been like this going on 4 weeks, calling doctor tomorrow, unfortunately.

Thanks for the help. I didn't really think it was pregnancy, but nothing else changed, so I couldn't figure what it could be.

I'm taking a prenatal, and I had heard the iron can make this happen. Though I've taken them since the end of April and only had issues this month.

I've had problems with this in the past - I chalk mine up to stress, and just getting off balance. I recommend buying some Milk of Magnesia and some citrucel at the store. Take a dose of MoM and you should have a pretty good bowel movement within a few hours. Try to eat really simple foods for a day (whole grains, steamed veggies, fruit) and take another dose. This helped me reset my system the few times I have been really constipated. It's very safe and easy.

I take 1-2 doses every day of Citrucel to keep me regular, even though I eat plenty of fiber daily. I tend towards constipation and this helps. Citrucel is non-habit forming, unlike laxatives.

MoM is also non-habit forming, although it's not something you want to rely on daily or weekly. It's just for if you get really backed up, as you are!

Good luck!
