I asked for help here a while back regarding what to do about my ex. I got a lot of great (if not brutally honest) feedback. 
Today I was granted a restraining order (for me and my dd) against my ex. I was also granted full custody of my daughter with no visitation to him at this time. Also a bunch of other small, but meanful things that I had asked for.
Next step is to work out child support and finish up the divorce. But for now I'm so happy that everything has worked out this way. This is the safest I've felt in nine years. This is also the first time I've ever felt like the legal system did something positive for me and my dc.
