Postpartum TMI (hemrroids or more?)

DD is 2 weeks old and I am so frustrated! I have a hemrroid but that doesn't seem to bother me much. I had an external yeast infection which we seem to have cleared up. The problem I am having now (maybe again, since I had it last week, and it went away but is now back) is around my anus. Not just where the hemrroid is but all around it. I have a crawly itchy feeling that will NOT go away. It is keeping me up at night and I am so tired! Baby is sleeping pretty well but I am not. I was thinking maybe it was anal fissures but it doesn't hurt when i poop. It just itches like hell all the time. Any ideas of what this is, how long it will last and what I can do for relief?

I've always had hemrs after birth...but never experienced an itchy feeling. Cold witch hazel compresses at every bathroom visit always helped mine go away fast. This is just a pure guess on my part but maybe it is related to the yeast infection? I had a recurring infection my last trimester and I was not wanting to insert anything since I was having so much prodromal labor and my cervix may have been open...after tons of treatments natural and prescription what finally made it go away was the Yeast-Gard feminine wash. I still use it...just cause. Maybe it would help you?

Ugh. It has spread and does seem like yeast again now. I will have to look for some Yeast Gard. Thanks for the tip! I hate that it keeps me up at night!

Hope you feel better soon. I noticed Yeast Gard made some oral tablets and suppositories, but they all had goldenseal and being pregnant I didn't want to take that. Not sure about nursing...? But if goldenseal is okay while nursing then maybe that is worth a try too.
