diaper rash

Hey all, my DS, 18 mo has a diaper rash that's been itchy and red and inflamed for a couple days now. I just started to notice that he's been itching the crease between his upper arm and forearm on his right side. There are a few bumps on the other side, but not much. My mom took a look at it and said it was yeast. I think it might be but when I called the doctors office, they said it's probably not yeast if it's on other parts of his body besides his diaper area and to bring him in. I'm trying to avoid taking him to the doc right now because this month is tight with money. I can upload a picture and have you all take a look. I don't think it's urgent whatever it is, but I'd like for him to have some relief! I usually do cloth, but switched to disposables for a bit to see if that helps at all. I am guessing it will at least keep any moisture away from his bum.

Do you have any calendula gel? That would help a lot I think. If you use disposable diapers put vasoline on his bum after every diaper change, it helps a ton to prevent any further rashes. Good luck!
