Raw Milk while breastfeeding

I have a 6week old daughter and I am breastfeeding and I am wondering if Raw milk will cause the same upset that pasteurized milk causes in some infants (gas, colic...etc) when mom drinks milk. I don't want to upset her stomach so I have been staying away from dairy for the most part. But I want some milk!! lol I love my raw milk.

?? Any input would be appreciated. I have 1/2 a gallon of raw milk sitting in my fridge waiting to be guzzled! lol

I have been drinking raw milk for about a year on and off..i struggle with some lactose intolerance.

The only way to really know is to try. A lot of babies aren't upset at all with dairy in mama's milk. Some are.

I would make sure you aren't eating anything else that might be problematic, and then try it for a couple days and watch your LO and see. Hope you find out quickly, and can enjoy your yummy raw milk!

(incidentally, we have celiacs disease, and wheat caused horrrrrrrible problems with my nurslings. Raw milk never did.)

With my DD I couldn't drink regular store-bought milk because it gave her horrible reflux, but I could drink as much raw milk as I wanted without any side effect in her.

Thanks so much. I will give it a go and I hope I don't cause any extra distress to her tummy. I LOVE dairy foods and I've almost given them up completely just in case.

This was our case too. Raw milk was a blessing because, before then, I was doing soy milk...
