EMF's and sleeping arrangement

We recently re-arranged our bedroom, adding another twin bed to our set up. I realized as we did so that there's an electrical outlet behind the beds, and now it's IMMEDIATELY behind the twin bed where my son will be sleeping.

My husband has his clock radio plugged into this outlet, and our bedroom only has two outlets total.

Should I be freaked out about this? Is there anything I can do while still keeping the same bed arrangement? Is unplugging things from an outlet enough, or does it still emit harmful radiation even when nothing is plugged into it?

subbing as we are in the same situation.

We only have two outlets in the room...no overhead light (weird builders I know) and the other outlet is controlled by a switch so things like the clock radio cannot be plugged into it for obvious reasons.

The outlet is right at our heads right now and has a lamp, clock radio and salt lamp (to apparently neutralize the EMF's) into it. We will be having the baby sleep with us and I don't think we have any other options...

definitely looking for suggestions/opinions on this.

I know someone who's sensitive the location of the wiring/outlets in her bedroom and who benefitted a lot by rearranging her bedroom furniture away from that stuff. I don't think having stuff plugged in is the biggest issue, at least not for my friend--the wiring itself is the issue, so outside wiring, like to a breaker box, is also a problem, in addition to the outlets you can see and the wiring to those outlets in the walls.

Since we (my family, I mean) don't _seem_ to be having issues from this, I just try to keep 2-3 feet between wiring (outlets/lamps/clock-radio, etc) and our heads and say that's good enough.

At work, we used fine metal mesh screens to isolate areas from EM signals, I don't know where to buy something like that for the home but that would be the solution that jumps out at me.

EM signals drop as the square of the distance (doubling the distance from the source makes the signals drop to 1/4 what they were, not just 1/2), so small changes in distance help quite a bit.
