Hiccups and baby position?

I'm 36 weeks today and am working on determining what position this little boy is in. I have been to spinningbabies and am trying the belly mapping. Even though I use leopolds on my patients, it's hard for me to do it on myself.

I'm wondering if feeling hiccups at a specific place is an indicator of where the head is?

Any tips for figuring out where he is laying? I think what makes it tough is that I have an anterior placenta as well so it's kind of tough to feel sometimes.

Thanks for your help!

seems like i usually feel the hiccups where the baby's back is. i'm 35w5d and have also been trying to figure out baby's position lately. yesterday i felt the hiccups on the lower right side of my belly, which seems to fit with the position i felt the baby was in at the time. ROA, head down.

ditto hiccups over baby's back.

Ultrasound a couple weeks ago showed my baby is head down, LOA, and it seems she still is. I feel her hiccups mostly in the area of my left hipbone, maybe where her shoulder is? I do sometimes feel them on the upper right, though, so it seems maybe they can sometimes move her whole body enough that her foot gets jostled too.

Thanks! I'm know he's head down, but I'm curious about whether he's OA or OP. He's hanging out more on the right side (as have all my other kiddos). He still has a bit of room to move in there, so I know it can change from minute to minute.
