My little guy was a HORRIBLE sleeper for the first 15 months or so. Then, FINALLY, all that hard work and sleep deprivation seemed to be paying off. He was going ALL NIGHT without waking. AWSOME. But then occassionally he seemed to have a regression. It would only last a night or two. THANK GOODNESS. (it amazing that after over a year of only 1-2 hour stretches, I would get sooo spoiled with a months worth of 8 hours stretches. Seriously, just one night of 1-2 hour stretches again made me want to slit my wrists.)
I found a pattern. EVER.SINGLE.TIME he does this to me, he reaches some sort of developmental milestone in the folloeing days. Walking, pronouncing words, even things as small as clapping.
This time around, its 3-4 word sentences. Im astounished. And hes repeating pretty much every thing I say to him, complete in sentences, rather then just the last word.
So I just wanted to extend some hope to mamas out there suffering similar fates. Some kids, like my oldest, sleep MORE when they hit a growth spurt. And other kids, like my youngest, sleep FAR LESS.
