i had a MW appt last friday and got the results of the 20 week U/S. baby is fine except for "pelviectasis", which is a dilation of the kidney. basically the kidney is a bit enlarged which could be due to blocked urine, or could end up being nothing.
i did a search here on MDC and found 2 archived threads that were very reassuring. it seems my baby's kidney is on the low end of dilation (6mm).
i'm a tiny bit worried (i would have preferred nothing of note on the U/S report!) but there's no point in getting all lathered up until we see how things are on the next U/S. i am going for a fetal assesment next friday (aug 5).
