runny nose- teething or a cold?

Ds has had a runny nose for perhaps a week or so. He's been slightly fussy at times, but nothing really out of the ordinary. The only thing out of the ordinary is that he's been drooling (which he never does) and spitting up a bit. His sleep is maybe even better than it has been. His snot is yellow, not clear like I'd expect from a non-illness runny nose.

He's 13 mos, and only has 4 teeth. The last tooth that came in was months ago, so I imagine it's about time for him to get more in.

Could his runny nose be from teething? Or is it more likely that he's sick.

Could be. If he's had a runny nose for one week and no other cold symptoms, I'd be more likely to think teething. Usually colds progress and get different symptoms. That said, if it lasts much longer, you might want to get it check out, just because that's a long time to have the same symptom.
