Can someone please help me?? Photo Boxes?

Ok, so I have these photo boxes, and I have pictures, actually lots of pictures.... but the photo boxes are much larger than the pics... so can someone help little ole' me figure out the purpose of the photo boxes and the storage solution they are supposed to solve. I really need to get this done like last year....

I would love to help but not really too sure what you mean.

Do you mean those wooden ones that are made for putting photos in and keeping them on a coffee table?

I have one of those but honestly have never bothered to put any photos in it....a job I have been putting off. However I do scrapbooking, so most of my photos are being managed that way...

I am also not quite sure what kind of photo boxes? If it is the pretty wooden ones with the framed portion on top, I ended up getting rid of mine, so I may not be of the most help, lol!

Maybe a posting photo would help. My understanding is that you should put the photos in like you would put index cards into a storage box. They should be standing up and the box can hold a ton of photos that way. I don't know if that helps or not. LOL!

ETA: I actually use mine to hold CD's because I'm trying to get my photos into albums.

The key with those is that you have to stand the photos up like index cards in a box, not lay them flat in stacks. The front of the box where the label goes is about 4x6 and you put them one behind the other behind that part.

Sorry, I have been out and about. mkksmom hit the nail on the head with her description!

Meanwhile, I wanted to tell you I can fit 1100 pictures into those exact boxes. Yes, I counted one day.
