I have a mix of fitteds that I use regularly- some all cotton, and some cotton/hemp. Some of the hemp ones are getting threadbare in some places. I bought them used from a diaper service, but they looked fantastic when I got them. I've had them for less time than the all cotton.
Is there a laundry treatment or additive that is known to wear out hemp? I've not used bleach or vinegar, I don't think. I usually use a "natural" laundry detergent, and sometimes use a washing soda based (I think) laundry booster, Tide, and Dawn.

But hemp, invariably, gets worn thin eventually. I would guess because they were used already (and from a diaper service where they'd have pretty intense washing cycles), that it shortened their life. I wouldn't think just a few months of your use would do it alone.
