How old was your babe when... - Page 2

My 10 mo is normally up 3 times in his 10 hr night-time. If he doesn't nap during the day, then he might sleep 5 hrs, but i rarely let him do that.

My DS sttn at 2.5yo.. My DD is 11mo and still wakes 2-3 times at night.
My 3.5yo still doesn't sleep through the night, although my 15mo sometimes will (unless the 3.5yo climbs into her bed in the middle of the night and starts reading her a story )

#1--11 months
#2--21 months

I've done the "sleep beside you, they nurse during the night" thing, and that doesn't count as sleeping through to me. I only count it when they aren't nursing/needing to be changed/needing reasurrance. I count it when I can pretty much depend on them sleeping through the night, unless they are sick or have something unusual happen.

My DD(almost 4) still wakes up at least once a night to pee, as a baby she was on/off every 3 hours.

My son(10 mo) has pretty much STTN since birth, he would wake once a night for a diaper change and small feed. That stopped about 3-4 weeks old. He is an awesome sleeper, but has never been an awesome napper.

DS started sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at 6 weeks. He "regressed" a few times along the way, but there have only been a few nights in his life where he was up every 2-3 hours. For a long time he had one waking at 2-3 am to nurse (after going down between 8-9) and then he'd wake again at 7-8. He dropped the middle of the night feeding around a month ago (he's 8.5 months). Now he's down between 8-8:30 and up between 6-7. I was worried about my supply but my body adapted really well, and my cycle still hasn't returned.

He's my first, and he's remarkably easygoing, so I feel like we're in for it if we have a second. He also has always been big - above the 95th percentiles for weight and height since month one. Some people seem to think that makes a difference in sleeping. Naps, on the other hand...

Around 3 years old.

By 2.5 he was waking up once a night and getting into bed with us and going back to sleep.

Before that it was 2 years of hell. Sheer sleep-deprived hell.

My ODS started STTN at 8 weeks and never looked back! His younger brother, on the other hand, has done the clinical version of SSTN (5 hours) quite a few times, but more often than not, he's up once or twice during his 12 hour nighttime stretch. Down around 7/7:30pm - up at midnight and then back up at 4:30/5am and then back to sleep until 7am.

That's how my ODS was/is and I've heard that before, too. We've never had any sleep problems with him. My YDS naps for an hour or so at a time, my ODS would nap almost 2-3 hours DAILY!!! I was beside myself!

I'll let you know when I find out.

My DD slept through the night once or twice at about 2 months old, due to exhaustion/jet lag. She's 2 years, 8 months now and has been mostly sleeping through (9 or 10PM to 6 or 7 AM) for a few months, but sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night hungry, thirsty, wanting to talk, or for some other reason.

DD1 started STTN reasonably regularly at about 20 months. DD2 has STTN once and she is 22 months.

My 21 month old just started "sleeping through the night" - For several months he went from bedtime until around 5am. That started probably around 14 months. Before that he tended to nurse around 10pm then again around 5am, and he started that maybe around 10 months or so. Before that I didn't keep track of how often he was waking

dd started sleeping through the night at about 2 1/2 months? i think. it's all a little foggy now. she went from waking twice (1 am and 4 am -ish) to going to bed between 7-9pm and not waking until 5-7am. she's ravenous at that point and nurses for a good 45 min-1hr before going back to sleep for another 1-2 hours. she very occasionally breaks this mould, and let me tell you, her very un-sleep-deprived parents are not very gracious about it! i keep telling myself i'm incredibly lucky and not to expect it to continue, but my body has decided that waking before 5am is completely unacceptable...

ds started to sleep for 5 hour stretches around 3-4 months. It didn't get to a solid 10 hour night until 9 or 10 months.

dd is only a week old... so I am wondering what kind of sleeper she will be

My DD slept though the night at 22 months. Maybe 1 or 2 times before that she randomly slept a 6 or 7 hour stretch, but.... not as a habit.

My DS "slept through the night" as in 5+ hour stretches from 3 weeks until 4.5 months. For awhile in there he'd sleep for 7 or 8 hours first thing in the night! I'd have to get up and pump every night. Then the 4-month sleep regression hit him hard. Now I'm lucky if I can get 3 hours out of him.

DD1 and DS1- Not sure, but before 6 months
DD2- She didn't sleep for more than 1-2 hours at a time until after 2.5 years. Yes, YEARS. Then I got 3 hours about. She STTN (5 hours) at 3 years old.
DS2- I can't remember. He's almost 12 months old now and I usually only feed him 1-2 times a night. He'll go 5 hours quite often though. I think it started about 5 months maybe? It was a relief after DD2 though. LOL

My three year old is just starting to occasionally sleep through the night.

My 2 month old often sleeps through the night. At the most she will wake up once.

My older two were close to two years old before they reliably slept through most of the time. My infant is 6 months, and has been going like 9ish to 5ish since she was about 2 or 3 months. I thought that babies sleeping like that were a myth till she was born!

haha certainly not anytime soon and we are at 10 months now
