If you have successfully healed chronic sinus infections, how?

I have been ill with a sinus infection for more than 4 months now. My main symptoms are debilitating headache, severe fatigue and nausea. It was not an easy diagnosis and was eventually made via head CT and failure to respond to migraine meds. I have responded to and then stopped responding to three different antibiotics. They all work for about a week, and then I get sick again. The ENT I am seeing says the next step is endoscopic sinus surgery. I am willing to consider this, but want to try everything else first.

I do twice daily sinus rinses with salt and hydrogen peroxide. I am on a nasal spray for allergies. Allergies are presumably contributing, but I have had allergies all my life and never experienced anything like this.

I am not particularly alternative-minded...specifically, I do not believe in homeopathy at all, so that is not a helpful suggestion. However, I am open to chiropractic, acupuncture, and herbs. I have not tried any of these yet.

Sometimes a sinus infection can be fungal in nature. This can be what has happened to you. There are antifungal sprays for the nose that are made by compounding pharmacies. You can ask your ent about this issue. If it is fungal, antibiotics can even make it worse.
I had endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery for polyps a couple of years ago and I haven't had an infection once since then. And I have not had a major allergy attack since then either. When I feel allergies triggered, I take my nasacort spray for a few weeks until it subsides and then I'm fine again.
I do hope you find relief. I know how awful it is.

My husband used to get a yearly sinus infection, but one day when he went to GNC for some garlic, the guy there told him to try oregano oil, the really strong kind. It worked fantastically for him. I guess it has anti-fungal properties.

Someone else I know used a therapeutic magnetic sleep mask for a week or two and avoided sinus surgery.

I would also add journaling on top of whatever you try...sounds weird but often works for me.

Edited to add: he took the oregano oil by dropper...a few drops on his tongue in the morning followed by water. It's very potent.
