what would you do for this situation

I do my temps every morning and my daughter does it too (just to be like mommy) her temp usually runs around 97.3 ish.

2 weeks ago she and my son had a virus with fever (103-104) and a rash for 5 days. They felt fine otherwise. I just let it run its course and gave her extra D and SA. She was fine for 2 days and spent time at the grandparents farm.

When she did her temps they are elevated but not "fever".

She is throwing the "sick temper tantrums" but says she feels fine, except her tummy hurts, has a low appetite, and is VERY thirsty and going pee much more often. She has always had constipatipation problems but was doing really well for the last year. I think they are back, she hasn't had a BM in 2 weeks. I usually give her intestinal Cleanse #3 but she will not take it and I can't hide it in anything.

What would you do to help this little one get back to normal?

not what you are asking in this thread, but if you are using a good thermometer, this is a sign of hypothyroidism

I don't know! I think given she's acting sick, her temps are elevated that long, and she's severely constipated and complaining of tummy pain I'd be concerned. I wonder if pain can elevate all on it's own and the constipation is responsible. But two weeks without poop is very concerning to me. My guess is she was dehydrated or lack of eating while originally sick started off constipation cycle for her but as you know that can self continue. Do you think she's impacted?

But I would have her thyroid checked unless she's controlling the thermometer or there may be another reason that her temp isn't accurate. That temp is too low.

I will get the thyroid checked for sure.

I am going to take her in tomorrow and have them check for a UTI or something with the poop.

IMO if she hasn't had a bowel movement in two weeks something needs to be done. My son was hospitalized with a bowel impaction after no BM for 2 weeks and it was NOT a fun experience.

As for the temps, I would just ignore it. Her sore belly is probably sore because of the constipation.

She finally pooped last night!! Her tummy is better and her temps are back to normal. Gotta keep her flowing.
