tell me about your co-sleeping space

Right now we are starting to co-sleep and really do the family bed with a newborn/toddler/husband/wife and on occasion a dog or two. Wyatt [DS] and I were doing the couch thing since he was nursing so much, but at 4 weeks he's sleeping in 2-3 hour chunks and NOT waking DD up so we can come back up to bed!

I want to create the ultimate family bed. Something so cozy we will all be able to curl up like bears during the winter and sleep well. We just got a new king sized bed and I'm debating getting a humanity co-sleep mattress to go on that to separate DS/from DD but it's super pricey -- does anyone have it? Is it worth it?

Tell me about your current or DREAM co-sleeping spot and PLEASE share pictures too! This can be our family bed inspiration thread

our family bed is a queen and an xl twin with lots and lots of pillows — dp would sleep on the twin, and dd and i shared the queen. a couple days ago we took the twin off its box spring and slid it in between the queen and the wall. now the twin is dd's bed, although i end up spending half the night there with her (or she crawls up and sleeps on me). it's working out great, though. she can come and go as she pleases, and dp and i can sleep next to each other again for the first time in over a year!

i love family bed. i can't imagine doing it any other way

We have a Cal King turned sideways (so it's wider than it is long) and a twin with a boxspring and a 2nd mattress plus a small pillow top to make it even with our king. Our kids are 5, 4, and 3. The 4 and 3 year old usually are on the twin and DW and I are on the king with the 5 year old (she claimed her spot early! LOL!) When they were younger, we had a co-sleeper where the twin is now. I can't imagine NOT co-sleeping!! It has always just worked out for us.

we have a king sized bed up against the wall, ds (4) sleeps in the middle. we also have blackout shades in the bedroom, so it is like a cave at night. i love co-sleeping and i think i will be sad when ds decides he wants to sleep in his own bed!

our Bedzilla is not quite that big BCFD
We have a double bed where I sleep with whichever of the two older children that end up there. Dh is on a twin bed to my right (he needs a much firmer matress than I) and the baby is in an arms reach to my left. If, for some reason, it is too crowded we also have the crib we bought for dd1 set up in the room as a toddler day bed and either of the older children can sleep there if they want. There is a body pillow on the twin because of the height difference in the two beds and dd1 often sleeps there. We have this all out fitted with 2 down and 2 non down comforters lots and lots of pillows(thus the co sleeper for baby) It is the only room in the house with air conditioning and since no one sleeps in them we shut off the heat to the other bedrooms in winter. There is no tv or radio in there, in summer we have fans for white noise and a humidifier in winter for humidity and white noise. Stories are read there every night in german and English by daddy and then it is lights out for all and to sleep we go every night..
we love it and the time we have tried to have the kids sleep else where we have been lonely and they came right back
Cannot image anything else

Thanks! It usually is unless I have a foot in my rib or a sweaty DD1 who kicks all the covers off of her Mommy!!
