Refrigerator and a bumping noise

We just got a brand new fridge since the old one was on its way out. I've had it less than 24 hours and it's really beginning to annoy me. Every time someone walks past the fridge, or closes the door there's a bumping noise coming from the back of the fridge like something is loose back there. Does this sound normal? It really is driving me nuts.

Does it have an automatic icemaker? It could be ice cubes dumping out of the tray.

I second the auto ice idea. I had no idea our freezer had an automatic ice maker and it was making these weird noises for a few days and then I noticed the ice tray overflowing I turned it off since the sound was annoying and I don't really use ice.

:0) I know it's not that because the ice maker hasn't been connected until last night. We've isolated it to the middle of the back of the refrigerator. You can feel whatever it is knocking around back there.

Maybe someone or something wants out?

Or maybe there is a bad compressor?
