Freezing Homemade Baby Food?

So my baby will be 6 months in October which is when I'll be introducing solids. I was thinking of taking advantage of our garden harvest and pureeing and freezing baby food. Is this a good, bad or otherwise idea. FYI this is my first kiddo so I'm making it up as I go here!?

I think its an awesome idea!! I always just pureed the veggies/fruits and then froze them in ice cube trays, popped them out and stored in the freezer in marked containers. I would suggest that you make single veggies/fruits and mix later. For example my son LOVED carrots and sweet potato. Instead of freezing a puree of both together I did them seperately and added when they were defrosting. It also helped when he started to eat more solid food and we were givign him pieces of meat we could easily combine a veggie with it from our frozen stash.
