New "farm mom" to 15

We have 15 brand new baby piglets!! They are SO cute, the kids can't stay out of the barn . They arrived Wednesday, born between 10am and 4pm. I had to leave for work at 1:30pm, so FIL came over to watch her & my 3 girls. My oldest DD (8) said that one was born still in the sac, so she ripped it open & dried off the nose & mouth. I was proud of her for knowing what to do, I never told her about that. She's such a great mama pig, always so careful moving around her babies as to not lay on them.

Here's a picture of most of them. DH took it with his phone, so sorry it's a bit blurry.

Here's DD#2 (6) holding one:

Thank you! I love hearing the little squeals and grunts - so adorable! And when they sleep, it's such a cute pile of piglets under the heat lamp .

They sound ADORABLE!!!! I'm envious! We have a nice flock of chickens but aren't set up for anything bigger. One day though... Congrats on your little piggies!

Do you sell them or eat them yourself?

We sell some, and keep some for ourselves.

We are down to 12 now. A few more died. I'm worried about the tiny runt, I hope he makes it, but I'm not counting on it. Poor little thing .
