Late ovulation, how bad??

How "bad" is it to ovulate later in your cycle? I average CD 20-23, and since I've been charting, the earliest I O'd was CD 17, which was in March, and the cycle I got a BFP, but miscarried. I'm still waiting to O this cycle; today is CD20, and my OPK lines are barely visible. I'm losing hope.

I guess I'm looking for some hope that it's OK to O later on & get a BFP & a healthy baby out of it. I do remember when my youngest was conceived, it was about 30 days after I started AF, since we only DTD once that month. AF started Feb. 25, & we DTD on March 25. Found out I was PG on April 15th. I wasn't charting then, I just remember the dates clearly.

I normally ovulate between CD18 and CD23, the last cycle I had I ovulated on CD39 and we are expecting in February.

I'm not an expert, but I do know that it's more your LP that matters, not how late you ovulate. So if you have a good temp rise post-O and an LP that is at least 10 days, it shouldn't be a big impediment to getting PG.

I also ovulate around CD19-22. There was a thread about this not too long ago, and the conclusion seemed to be, don't worry about it! If you look at pregnancy charts on FF, TONS are late ovulation. I think MaerynPearl or somebody figured out it was roughly a third of them. And, there is a fertility doctor in Canada who sees late ovulation as an indicator of healthy ovarian reserve--I don't know the reasoning behind this, but the link is here: http://www.fertility.ca/2008/06/how-...r-egg-quality/

Yes I would not worry about late ovulation. Every woman is different and I have seen women ovulate on CD 75 and have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and baby.

You want blatant proof that it doesn't matter if you O on cd14 or cd250... look at the ladies who get pregnant with their first PP egg, before they ever get a PP AF! They can be in the HUNDREDS of cycle days!

So yeah, the only thing that matters about when you O is whether or not you actually DTD near enough to when O happens to get pregnant... and how long after O happens that AF shows up (your LP)
