Hi everyone! This will be my first year homeschooling. My son will be 4 in Nov and we will be focusing on Kindergarten-G1 level at this point.
I was just curious is any have used this site or have other recommendations for lesson/activity ideas. Oh book ideas are also welcome!

I will likely be doing an eclectic type of teaching....as Tyr's interests will be my main focus but I want him to have a bit of structure as well as I know he will likely enter public school in 2012 so I want him to have a bit of discipline in that area.

Were he to enter school this fall he would be in Junior Kindergarten but academically he is currently more on par with the end of Kindergarten/early Grade 1 (he is reading many words, doing simple addition, spelling many words, is printing etc).

Congrats! It's such fun! I haven't used that site, so I have no opinion on it. We like doing Unit Studies, that way I can go as in-depth with my different aged kids as they want. Just makes it easier having more than one HS child. Here's some of my favorite sites:

I have tons & tons of links saved. There's a sticky at the top of the forum full of free stuff for HSing. I'd check there too!
