Three weeks ago I started day weaning William onto bottles. He was just past 11 months at that point. It didn't take long and he was fully day weaned. I continued to nurse him at night. I weaned because he was biting. As easy as it was to wean, I think maybe he was biting because of supply issues.
DH and I think it may be necessary to go back to nursing full time. DS has been having awful rash troubles. If he sits in his poo for any amount of time he gets a terribly sore rash. It can go from smooth skin to a bleeding rash in one day. We cloth diaper and for the past 2-3 weeks he's been mostly cover free so that I can change him ASAP. This leads to him being changed at LEAST once an hour, usually more like 2-4 times in an hour. Sometimes 5 mins apart. Those are the times that he's pooed right after I changed him, so I know he wasn't in it more than 5 mins and he's already sore.
Anyway... DH was thinking that the formula was really the only change so he asked about me going back to nursing him. So far, it's going well, but we are only a couple of hours into it. lol Do I need to not offer any bottles at all? What if he gets frustrated and bites again? I don't want him to suffer while I'm building up supply again. I don't pump well, so that isn't really an option. Any advice? (he will be a year old on Tuesday)
