safe bread storage?

i make homemade bread and am finding it mold rather quickly. I was just wrapping it in wax paper and then wrapping that in foil. i am looking for a non plastic option for storing a loaf of bread that will help it keep. TY

Homemade bread is going to mold faster than store bought bread because it has no preservatives in it. We go through about loaf per day around here, so mold isn't an issue, but if I was making more bread than we could eat in a couple of days, I'd freeze the extra.

Ditto.

Either freeze the extra or store in the fridge - that will give you a couple extra days but then you don't have the original texture.

You can also make smaller loaves - whatever size will be consumed in a couple of days. You can freeze your dough and just bake more often.
