Diaper advice for trip to Hong Kong

DD2 (12 mo, 18lbs) has worn exclusively fitteds and wool since birth. DD1 (4 years, 37lbs) has worn exclusively cloth. She's potty learned, but needs a night time diaper. She always wakes up soaking wet. We use a pocket stuffed with 2 infant prefolds. We'll be flying to Hong Kong (3 hours then 16 hours in plane) and staying for 17 nights. We'll be staying at a hotel with "coin laundry."

So, I assume we'll do disposables for the flights for DD2. I've never bought disposables and don't have the first clue about brands or styles. Any recommendations? And wipes? I'd like to put a barrier cream on her too. I'm worried about her breaking out. Any recommendations there?

I'm at a loss on what to do with DD1 for the flight. If she naps, she wakes up to pee. She's super picky about panties. She would only wear trainers since they were "soft on her bottom" until very recently. Now she'll wear Hannas. I'm not sure she'll wear a disposable. And if she will, I'm not sure when we should put them on.

Once we're there DH will be working long full work days while the girls and I explore using mass transit.

So, wwyd for there? I'm thinking of packing 12-24 fitteds, DD2's wool, and DD1's pockets and prefolds. Then we could use our CD at least at the hotel. I'm worried about packing space/weight. I'm also a bit worried about the unknown coin laundry.

I've travelled with cloth and with sposies and for an international trip with a hotel stay it's not worth it to take the cloth, sorry. It takes up too much room in the suitcase and seriously, laundry is going to be the LAST thing you want to think about when you drag yourself back to the hotel at night. You'll miss the cloth, yes, most definitely, but you'll be so happy to see it when you get back!

I might consider taking the overnight cloth for your DD1 as that will just be peed on and you can put it with your regular laundry, but only if she won't agree to a pullup.

My favorite american sposies are pampers, followed by huggies cotton and then target brand. Luvs are perfumed and horrible. They're sized by weight, your daughter should be at the low end of the weight range eg if she weighs 25lbs get the ones that are from 25-40lbs. If she is a heavy night wetter you'll need overnight ones too. Also, you can buy sposies in HK! Probably at the hotel even. (but not the night time ones)

Hope that helps. Really I know how attached you can get to cloth but seriously, it is not worth it. You don't want to ruin your nice dipes in a dodgy hotel coinop in hong kong!
