Mamabeca: I have a spicy sausage and rice casserole that doesn't use dairy if you need one...it can be easily modified to not be spicy!

I have to give you ladies credit for planning out the entire month. I have trouble sticking to my weekly plans!

Well, I always have wiggle room because you can't really plan a whole month as far as activities. Sometimes we'll have people over and I'll have to switch things around so there's a meal that's easily doubled or something...

ITA w/AFWife - there's lots of wiggle room - mostly it's a fall back plan. When I get up, if there isn't something else going on, I know what I need to be doing at some point - an early cook or a late one, etc. Given all the practices, games, and evening classes we have, this works really well. But already we didn't have the fish (didn't get to the store for fresh fish) and traded pizza night for soup. It's all good!

And I'd LOVE your recipe!

Mine's not set in stone. As long as I have an idea of what to make and the ingredients to make it, I move stuff around all the time. It's already been changed a little bit.

trying this out for the first time ever...we shall see how well we stick to it, but I really love the idea of this whole month instead of just a week.

(Days 1-5 are past tense)

1 – homemade pizzas with green salad and tabouli
2 – risotto with spinach, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms, chickpeas
3 – roasted beets, spinach/arugula/cabbage salad with basil dressing and nuts, butternut squash soup
4 – vegetable stew with quinoa
5 – pizza (we caved and ate out after a late night of rock climbing)
6 – bbq local organic steaks, corn, beans, potatoes
7 – BBQ with friends (tons of amazing options huge potluck)
8 – pasta salad with soup
9 – fish, kale/cabbage, quinoa with nuts/raisins
10 – wraps with beans, rice, tomatoes, cottage cheese, zuccinni, mushrooms, kale/cabbage leftovers
11 – millet crust for kale, potato, leek quiche
12 – veggie chilli in crock pot
13 – homemake pizzas with green and grain salads
14 – BBQ with friends (likely veggie burgers, portobello, salads of all kinds, local veggies grilled up)
15 – Family dinner (likely not as yummy as we would like)
16 – soba noodles, tofu, chick peas, avocado, grilled sweet potato, sprouts, nuts, seeds
17 – homemade calzones with cottage cheese, tomatoes, garlic, spinach, mushrooms, olives
18 – mushroom stroganoff
19 – fish tacos (likely pickerel with soft shell tacos)
20 – Away with friends for weekend (again lots of amazing food…we are all passionate foodies)
21 – Still away
22 – Eat leftovers from trip or eat out on way home depending on timing
23 – pasta with veggies and pesto
24 – curried couscous salad with some kind of soup
25 – veggie stew with wild rice blend
26 – midwife appt = Thai Food at nearby restaurant
27 – Portobello mushroom burgers with grain and green salads

It comes out REALLY spicy if you follow it directly...so adjust it to your taste.

I usually just go ahead and use 2lbs of sausage (it's easier than measuring out the *exact* amount) It reheats well too. DH always takes some for lunch the next day.
