where does your LO sleep for naps? advice on co-sleepers

hi, my little 4MO charlie sleeps in our bed at night and various spots for naps. as he gets more mobile, i think i need a travel crib of some kind for naps for his safety, especially when we are travelling....

i have a kanoe hammock, but so far he's not sleeping well in it, so i'm not sure i can rely on it, and it isn't good for travelling.

does anyone have experience using a mini-cosleeper convertable? i'm concerned it may not be big enough to work until he's ready for sleeping in his own bed, but the regular co-sleepers are a lot heavier, 10 more lbs, so not good for taking on a trip. it would be nice to have one thing that would work for both.

i'm not considering just a pack-n-play type thing because i MAY want to use a co-sleeper if our bed-sharing relationship needs to change at some point.

Haven't used it yet, but we just bought this for travel:

If your DS is already 4mo I would look for something with high sides (crib/PNP height) because by 5mo my DS was pulling to standing & the co-sleeper (we had the Arm's Reach Mini) was no longer safe for him.

We have a mattress on the floor (2 actually) and that's what DS sleeps on, day & night. When we are traveling he sleeps on the bed (usually we're in a hotel & we stay in the room while he's napping obviously so we can prevent him from rolling off or otherwise getting into trouble!

ah, i didn't think about the high sides. so, soon he wouldn't be able to use the co-sleeper in it's raised position anyway..... hm.....

i like the pod thing - thanks!
