Talk me down ladies! Tell me not to buy that Beco!

A local store has decided not to carry Beco's anymore- and they are marked down to $69! I really would love to buy one...

...but I already have a Maya ring sling and a Moby and an Ergo (that I'm not even using yet as my babe is only 10 weeks)! I don't need a Beco, right???

I'm fairly certain they won't let me return it as it's on clearance, so I can't buy it and think about it. And there's only 3 left...

I shouldn't buy it, right? It's just rampant consumerism that makes me want it so badly, right? Because it's on SALE!!! Lol!

If you have the extra money I'd buy it, that is a really nice price. Is it the beco butterfly? If it is you could use that now for your lo and it might make you feel more confident when you start back carrying.

If you really don't have the extra money then I'd pass

That's a great price, BUT I don't think you'd need or use a Beco if you already have an Ergo.

Baby carrier hoarding is a serious problem, and I am guilty.

if you have and ergo, you don't really NEED a beco. Especially if you also already have a stretchy wrap and a ring sling. You have acheived babywearing trifecta.

For that price I'd totally buy it.. but I have a baby carrier hoarding problem too Can you try it on before you buy since it's a local store?

Make sure the Ergo fits you well before passing on the Beco! It's too big and bulky for me so I would totally get the Beco, especially at that price!

buy it... and sell it to me

Buy it!

I'm sorry, I'm supposed to be telling you not to.

Buy it for sure.

I have a babywearing hoarding problem.

I have a beco and love it but I do not have an ergo. I don't want to think about what I would do if I saw reduced that much.

Sorry. But I'd buy it too. DH loves the Beco. It's also great for getting more confident with back carries. you can always sell it on TBW if you don't like it. They are also much cuter than ergos. I'm a carrier buying addict on the wagon.

MY DH uses a Beco too and he likes it. The internal harness makes it easier for him to get DD up on his back

We were out of town for several days and I let them sit. I just called the store though and they still have all 3 left, so it's clearly meant to be, right? They are holding them for me and I'm going to go try it on later today!

Lol- babywearing trifecta...

I'd Buy It

I also got my Beco for $70. I didn't need another carrier, and never would have paid the regular price for it... but I was at a warehouse sale, and figured I could sell it for what I paid for it if I didn't get much use out of it.

Well, it's my favourite carrier now.

We have an ergo that DH wears older DS in. The ergo doesn't fit me properly. I can't get it tight enough. But I find that people who have both usually prefer the Beco, unless they are larger and need the ergo because of their size.

The Beco is easier for getting a baby on and off you back alone because of the insert.

The Beco is less bulky and packs up smaller for travelling.

You can use a Beco from birth, so you could start use now.

If you end up with a baby who is a leaner, the beco prevents that. DH has to be much more careful with DS in the ergo, especially in crowded tight spaces.

resist the urge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really - you don't need it (I've owned a Pikkolo, Freehand MT, SV Bamberoo MT, Bamberoo WC, Oh Snap, Boba, Maya Tie, Kalea RS, Girasol ER, Cotton Tail WC, Robyn's NEst WC, Babies Beyond Borders 1/2 buckle and full buckle, a Didymos Katja, a Didyos blue jeans nino and 2 Ergo's.............plus some I've forgotten.)

My Beco Butterfly is next to impossible to nurse in, if that matters (I don't know if you BF).

I agree. I don't like it at all. Works great for DH who isn't exactly a BWing pro, but I find it rides up really weird. Plus I just really like to feel my baby against me.
