Pancreatin digestive enzymes and pregnancy

I am wondering why almost all the info says you cannot take pancreatin digestive enzymes during pregnancy.
This is the one I use:
http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Pancr...sules/716?at=0

Then this place says you can:
http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/blo...eatin-840.html

It helps me sooo much that foods I use to have to avoid because they would give me pain/inflammation, I can eat with these! (Grains, beans, tomatoes..makes life much easier!)

Anyway..I cannot find out any WHY not and I am wondering is it is all just CYA. I only take them with meals (not between).

Thanks,
Jen

If you've been taking them before you got pg, I wouldn't worry about continuing to take them. I wouldn't start them pg, in case you got die off, but if you're already on them, I'd keep taking them. For my son, they significantly increase the amino acids in his system (he digests protein much better), and reduce unfriendly gut bacteria. I'd think both those things would be a big benefit during pregnancy.

Thank you for replying

I had no die off that I could tell using them..I have never had that with enzymes. I do get nearly unbearable die off from tiny amounts of probiotic pills, but not fermented foods. It i funny how we are all so different.

That is great that they helped your son. The pancreatin helps me wayyy more than the expensive vegetarian ones for some reason so I am hoping to not switch.
