Is it really that big of a deal

That my 9 month old won't take a bottle or a cup? I am a SAHM so I am always available for a meal or a snack LOL. Everyone is horrified that I can't leave him for a night since he is breastfed and won't take a bottle. I"m in no hurry to leave him anyway.

If you're happy it's not a big deal. Neither of mine has ever had a bottle for similar reasons.

I don't think it is at all. My two youngest never would until they were almost 2.

No bottles here. No sippy cup either. Only a real cup.

Also no rush on anything

I agree with everyone else If theres no need for it, theres no need for it. And, if there IS a need for it, DS will figure it out when he's ready.

My DD is 8 months old and doesn't take a bottle or cup either. I don't think it matters at all!

My DD refused bottles after about 5mo, but wouldn't take a cup until she was well over a year. I didn't see a problem with it. My DD is 26months now and I stilll can't leave her for a whole night, she still needs me to get to sleep, and sometimes when she wakes. I'm working on this one, at this point, but at 9mo, I wouldn't even begin to worry about it.

DS, 21 months, has never had a bottle. I am also always with him. He never had a sippy cup either. We started him on a cup for water only when he was well over a year old.
