Would you consider donor milk? Check out milkshare. I've donated tons of pumped breastmilk - because we ran out of freezer room. I nursed my son until I was about 3.5 months pregnant and only stopped because I had a history of pregnancy complications. I still had a decent amount of milk. Maybe your supply will hold out for a while.

BTW - Congratulations! My brothers are about the same age difference and are best friends, even as 27& 28 yo adults! And my mother's words of warning were - don't believe them when they say BFing works like birth control.

He won't use purees or eat off a spoon but I am trying to get the high fat foods into him. He eats salmon with butter, chicken with olive oil, veggies with butter or olive oil, lots of eggs, cheese. I keep trying with the Yo baby full fat yogurt. If I put a bit on his tray and sprinkle some instant oats on it he will eat some of it. We do eat alot of fat in this house so I do make sure that what he eats solids wise has fat and protein. If I can just get him to a year Ill be happy I think.
Thanks for all the links about the raw mill formula. If his growth stalls or he drops weight I think Ill try it.

Yesterday He was really fussy at the breast. It might just be related to teethng but I wasn't sure. My let downs take forever. I still have milk but after few mins it seems gone. Anyways I bought some formula and offered it and he wont drink it. He last nursing session was at 1 am.... than this am at 7 he nursed for maybe 30 sec on each side and I offered the formula and no go.

have you considered coconut milk? it has some digestive enzymes that are similar to breastmilk so if you make smoothies with it, it will make many of the fats and nutrients just that bit easier to assimilate.

both ds1 and ds2 are skinny and i make a super fat smoothie almost daily for them and they love it - one avocado, coconut milk, bit of water and fruit like mango and raspberry, banana and strawberry, blueberries, or watermelon. lots of calories and lots of good stuff.

if you look at dr newman's site, you could consider skipping artificial milk altogether and go for the nutrient rich foods - sweet potatoes, eggs, watermelon, blueberries, etc.

oh and for the smoothies - we never used a sippy cup so it's always been in a regular glass or mug. ds2 LOVES them, and when i am working it is nice to have it there for him along with pumped milk.

I was thinking of you because I was reading about Rescue Remedy and it says that it helps facilitate let down, among lots of other great things it does. Here's some info from Kellymom and Dr Gordon.

Just thought I'd pass it along in case it helps.

My EBF baby would also never take a bottle. She did like a sippy cup though, eventually, at 11 months. I put whole milk yogurt in there, thinned with whatever liquid you are comfortable with. Super-simple smoothie that fills up the belly.

i also agree with using a regular cup. But a tiny plastic one the size of a shot glass. Only fill it 1/4 inch.... as much as you are willing to clean up since it will get poured out several times!

Also - my kids growth REALLY slowed down once they started moving (crawling, walking, pulling up). DD went from like 60 percentiles down to a consistent 25%. The docs were concerned at first, but finally agreed that 25 was her new normal.

It seems like mine grew one size each month that first year, then stay in 2T-3T for the next two years!
