I am going to be a SAHM mom starting next week and have a great website for parents. Need a good, FREE webpage startup program! Any info regarding how to stat a webpage as well?

Try a free WordPress blog at wordpress.com
Easy to use, free and has a lot of templates. You can set static pages so you can have a home page like a regular website too.

You can set a static page for a home page and add pages and not use the posts or categories features if you don't want to. The "blog looking" stuff can all be turned off in the dashboard. My husband has his photography website set up on WordPress and you can't even tell its a blog setup at all. But it allows him to edit it on his own without learning code or bugging me to do it, lol.

I think I'm gonna have to write a tutorial on how to do this for people, lol. Adding to my ever growing "to do" list.

That would be awesome! I need to take a crash course in marketing to try to take money from advertising!

People make money with a website primarily by selling ad space, using AdSense (or some other program that pays for ad clicks), by affiliate marketing or by creating and selling your own product.

Not sure if you can do that with Yola's free version, but I imagine you can do it with their paid hosting (which is like $50 per year). HubPages, DevHub and a few other similar free sites also offer shared monetizing options. You can also share AdSense with blogger (free) or you can keep all of your earnings yourself by using a WordPress blog, but hosting it elsewhere. Otherwise, you can start your own (non-blog) website.

The Warrior Forums are a great place to learn the ins and outs of making money using a website or blog.

Are there any grants available for SAHM's wanting to start their own business from home?
