The Snapdragon soaker is really cute and fits well. Plus, it is free!

Awesome...I was wondering how I might pay 6 Australian dollars. I am sure it is easy but free is always better.

Any other fabulous knitter have a link to a pattern? My grandma's on board to help me out. I'm so excited!

It's really easy to pay through paypal if you have a credit card. It's just over US$5 - but yeah free is better. Like I said, I really liked the ribbed crotch

Once you know how to do a basic soaker it isn't hard to modify it to what you like. I modify the waist and hips of the Snapdragon soaker, I also add short rows to it because DD has bulky diapers. it probably isn't too hard to modify it to have a ribbed crotch. In fact, I may have to try that.

I have pockets for the newborn stage but we didn't use cloth until my last one was closer to 6/7 months. I didn't even think of the meconium staining. I've been gifted a pack of size 1/2 diapers (not sure how well they'll fit a newborn) that I was thinking about using. I have never used prefolds so I don't know if I want to go that route now. I prefer pockets and have a few AIO's and fitteds. I would like to get some size small Fuzzi Bunz though. But my newborn dipes are all EUC from local Mamas in my CD group so I don't know how I'd justofy to DH buying more diapers as 90% of our CD stash (saved from the last babe) is one size...

I used sposies the first day or two when she had meconium poo, plus her bum was slathered in EVOO and I didn't want to ruin the CD. I have a bunch of OS fitteds that I plan to use with wool. I do want to buy some more pockets as all of ours are on their way out.

Are there any good crocheted patterns? I don't know how to knit.

Moving to Diapering.

Lets see... I just looked through my stash of diapers that I used when DS was a baby. I have been using just BG one size on him since he's been mobile. I will use BG again on this one, although I am not that happy with them, I would not buy BG again, but we already have them. Anyway as far as my newborn stash, I have 12 kissaluvs in NB size, 12 Kissaluvs in size 1 (next size up) these are all with snaps, 12 countour kissaluvs (no snaps but are shaped) 6 newborn, 6 larger. I must have thought I would really like kissaluvs. I have six cheap small newborn size, (no name brand) and two dozen prefolds. I have a handful of snappis and diaper pins, extra inserts, and 4 newborn size covers and 4 small covers. I have around 2 dozen BG one size too finish DS diapering and to use when the new one gets a little bigger. Some of them are pretty worn though, so we'll see. Oh, and I have 3 random mother ease diapers which I bought used are also pretty worn. I hope this will be pretty much what I need for this baby, as I don't have a lot of extra funds at the moment. I was thinking I may need to buy some medium size covers, and I would like to figure out a good night time diaper system (right now DS wears sposies at night, because even when I double stuff my BG, his penis is red when he wakes up in the morning and the diaper is saturated). I would like to try wool soakers, or longies, but don't know anything about them!
