Ergo Weather Cover?

Do you have one? I know it's still summer, but I'm thinking about getting prepared for the cold weather. Is it worth getting or should I just bundle both of us up? Those coats that go over mom & babe just aren't appealing to me and I'd like something DH can use, too.

I've never used it and now I live in Florida so I never will get to. But I'd say it depends where you live. Unless it's super cold, I'd go with what gives you the most options for removing layers because it can get pretty darned hot walking and having a warm body strapped to you. So having something that goes over baby allows you to keep baby's extremities warm while you have the option of shedding a layer or two.

When we went fall/winter hiking, I just bundled my daughter up before putting her in the Ergo. Layers are easier to deal with than one big coat, so keep in mind leg warmers, stretchy pants, even footie pajamas to keep legs and feet warm. On top, maybe a sweater or a light jacket depending on weather. Factor in that your body warmth will transfer some heat too. Sometimes I'd wear my husband's fleece, since he's bigger than I am and I could zip it over both me and the baby.

Can't wait for autumn hiking with her and my new little one!
